Genelia ties up with Perk

Thodi si pet pooja’ is what I remember of Perk. A lilting jingle, a classic line – it was one of the first to be positioned as an ‘in between meals’ snack. Interestingly the ads featured several models who went on to feature films: Raageshwari, Preity Zinta, Gayatri Joshi, Amrita Rao…the ads for the South featured Trisha too. Over the years, it has become an ‘anytime, anywhere’ snack and introduced the line ‘Baki sab bhulade’ with the Yumraaj commercial. Last year saw the introduction of the ‘Take it lightly’ theme. Genelia D’souza is the new brand ambassador for the brand and features in a new commercial.

I guess when you see the tie-seller in the middle of the jungle, you know that he has some role to play in what follows. Genelia seems to be the favourite for brands in the bubbly, youthful brand wagon. Another one in the ‘think on your feet’, ‘outsmart somebody’ theme. Works for you?
